Stained Couture Summer Loving~ New Review

Summer Loving…Sweet Body Smoothie

I hope everyone one had a fabulously extended holiday weekend. Mine was pretty touch and go, but none the less, much needed! There were a couple of “incidents”, one big one in particular, that I wished didn’t happen that caused me to become a big ball of anger. However, I was able to erase that anger and incident out of my head and life thanks to a superb luxurious bath that included me indulging in my new summer love…Melba’s Paradise Potion’s Sweet Body Smoothie in Fresh Vanilla Raspberry!

The Sweet Body Smoothie is loaded with some of the finest ingredients this gorgeous world has to offer that will leave your skin ridiculously smooth, soft, scented, and brighten. Its one hell of a exfoliant that you can use from head to toe. Yes, your beautiful face, too!

I use my Fresh Vanilla Raspberry every morning and follow it with my lotion du jour! The smell is subtle on your skin, but incredible and lasts quite a while! I think the next scent on my list is the appletini!

Seriously, your skin will thank you!

Stay Stylish!

Melba’s Paradise Potion Review

>> Friday, August 21, 2009

I didn’t realize Terry was also going to send me samples of Melba’s Paradise Potion to try and review. I came home from work and saw a box, and was like who is this for? and I love getting stuff in the mail.,

I opened the box right away and saw the Paradise potions. I was esctatic to try it out. I was sent a full bottle of Sweet Body Smoothie Tropical Sugar Body Polish and a sample size of the same thing in Cucumber Mango “which is one of her best selling scent”. I also got a sample size of the Satin Sheets hand and body creme.

Working a 14 hour day and with how humid it was all day, I had to try out these product right away.

Sweet Body Smoothie Tropical Sugar Body Polish:
Exfoliate, soften, and moisturize all in one step. Buff away dryness with the powerful antioxidant of shea butter, coconut oil, and tropical sugar crystals.
Wet skin, Massage product onto skin in circular motion for 1 minute and rinse off. Skin should feel smooth because it’s rubbing away the dead skin.

Review: I got the Coconut Macaroon scent, I used this all over my body. exfoliating in circular motion for 1 minute. Once I washed it off, my body felt different. It was so smooth. It smelled so sweet that I wanted to eat it. Make sure you wet your body because the scrub is dry when you scoop it.

This is also good for exfoliating your face. Working with food all night and sweating up a storm, I wanted to see how it would make my face feel. I applied it onto my wet face and gently massage my face **make sure you test a small area to make sure you’re not sensitive to the product**. Once I washed it off, my face too was also soft and smooth. It’s noticeable that my dead skin rubbed off.
The good thing about exfoliating is that you dont need to do it daily, I suggest doing it 3x week at most.

Satin Sheets Hand and Body Creme: Enriched with shea butter this long lasting cream penetrates quickly to protect, nourish, and moisturize skin. To get silky feet, exfoliate with Smoothie Sugar Body polish and then use Satin Sheets and cover with socks, wake up to silky feet in the morning.

Review: I applied the Satin Sheet Creme on my hand, and oh my god, my hand is so smooth and smells so pleasant. This lotion is not greasy at all and doesn’t leave any residue behind. This product also does not leave my hands oily, like some lotion tend to do. I honestly never had my skin feel this silky smooth.
This product is currently 50% off, so hurry up and order it! They also offer Free shipping on orders $75 and over.

I suggest you give this product line a try, you won’t be disappointed.

I tell you Spring is back and in a big way! I have been so excited about breaking out the warm weather clothing a showing a little skin. A little, I’m not 16 or crazy. I love fresh spring scents and scrubs. Anything that reminds me of the beach is great in my book, so when I opened my package of Melba’s Paradise Potions I felt I had died and gone to the tropics.

Not all products get tropical scents right. Some folks think all you need is coconut and pineapple and you’ve got a one way pass to the islands, but that is hardly the case. You have to be able to blend complementary scents in a way that will make people come running.Melba’s Paradise Potions are brimming with the true scents of the tropics. From their Tropical Sugar Body Polishes to their Exotic Shea Lip butters and their fabulous Hand & Body Cremes Paradise Potions have everything you need to start your summer off right. Here are just a few of their fabulous scents:

Blue Hawaii For Men, Caribbean Mint, Cucumber Mango, Eucalyptus and Lemon, Fresh Vanilla Raspberry, Hawaiian White Ginger, Island Guava, Juicy Margarita, Kauai Shores, Kona Latte, Key Lime and Coconut, Laguna Beach Wahine, Lemon Ice, Malibu Romance, Maui Pineapple Colada, Oahu Beaches for Men, Papaya Mango, Paula’s Paradise, Pink Grapefruit, Sherbet Splash, South Pacific Plumeria, Spicy Cranberry Lanai, Sunset Crush, Tahitian Vanilla, Twilight Breeze, and Vanilla Sandalwood.

There are so many you know you will just have to try them all. I love the moisture that they impart. Some scrubs are good at exfoliating, but leave you dry after you use them. Some others leave behind a greasy film that never quite seems to absorb, but Melba’s Paradise Potions Sugar Body Polish gives your skin the moisture it needs while gently exfoliating.

I also had the opportunity to try out their Volcanic Spa Dust, which I admit had me a little skeptical. Its made from sun dried bentonite clay, volcanic ash, green tea and citric acid. It comes in a little tin, dried to a powder. You mix it into a mask and the Spa Dust does the rest. It gently removes impurities while the citric acid removes dead skin and exfoliates for a softer, brighter more hydrated complexion. There are so many wonderful products to try, and hundreds of scent combinations that you’ll swear your in a hammock on the beach.

Showering can dry out skin, but not if you scrub-a-dub-dub with Paradise Potions’ Sweet Body Smoothie ($30). The sugar-crystal exfoliator is enriched with shea butter and coconut oil, which leave skin feeling amazingly soft. You can even slather it on your face. I did, and there was no irritation whatsoever! Plus, the tropical fragrances (cucumber mango is my fave) smell so friggin’ good! For long-lasting rejuvenation, try the line’s Satin Sheets ($18)—hand and body creams—in complementary scents.
